PRIVACY POLICY
The Japan Fine Ceramics Center ("JFCC" hereinafter), a general incorporated foundation, hereby declares its commitment to handling, managing, and using all personal information entrusted to its custody by its users with the utmost care and in thorough compliance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information.
Purpose(s) of use of personal information
In principle, the JFCC will use the personal information provided by its users to send notifications of events, to tally the results of questionnaire surveys, and to undertake internal research to improve the services JFCC provides to its users. The JFCC will use the personal information for no other purpose.
Security measures and supervision of information handling
The JFCC implements all due measures to ensure that the personal information provided by users is securely managed and handled. The JFCC has appointed an information manager to oversee these activities. In addition, the JFCC provides appropriate training to all employees whose duties entail personal information handling and manages and supervises them accordingly.
Restrictions on providing personal information to third parties
The JFCC shall not provide personal information provided by its users to any third party, except in the instances set forth below:
• It has obtained advance consent to do so from the user.
• It is legally obliged to disclose the personal information.
• It is necessary to disclose the personal information to its contractors to fulfill the purpose(s) of use for which the user has provided consent for.
Verification, correction, suspension of use, and deletion of personal data
On receiving a request from a user to disclose, delete, correct, suspend the use of, or take other action regarding the user's personal information, the JFCC will respond after verifying the user's identity.
Swift complaint handling
The JFCC will act swiftly to respond to user complaints or inquiries concerning the JFCC’s handling of personal information.
